Bhubaneswar: A junior revenue assistant in Mayurbhanj district was caught red-handed while taking bribe to process file in a mutation case.
Bhargab Mahakud, Junior, Revenue Assistant at Office of Tahasildar, Jasipur has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 40,000 from a complainant in order to process file in mutation case for issuance of ROR(Patta) in his favour
In this connection, Balasaore Vigilance PS Case has been registered under Section 7 PC Amendment Act, 2018 against the official. The investigation is in progress in the matter, the Vigilance said.
