Kalahandi: Deputy Ranger Intercepted by Vigilance Sleuths for Carrying Rs 1.5 Lakh Unaccounted Cash

Bhawanipatna: A Deputy Ranger from Odisha’s Kalahandi district has been intercepted by vigilance sleuths for carrying suspected ill-gotten cash of Rs 1,50,000 on Thursday.

Nrutyaraj Majhi, Deputy Ranger, under DFO, North Division, Bhawanipatna, was intercepted by Odisha Vigilance near Laxmipur, Kalahandi while carrying suspected ill-gotten cash of Rs 1,50,000, which he couldn’t account for satisfactorily.

Following interception, search has been launched on properties of Majhi at Laxmipur under Bhawanipatna Sadar. Investigation is underway, informed the Odisha Vigilance.
