Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Monday arrested a soil conversation overseer in Kalahandi district for allegedly taking bribe.
The soil conservation overseer has been identified as Dhanujaya Dhoba of Th.Rampur, Kalahandi.
Dhoba has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while taking bribe Rs.35,000 from a complainant in order to facilitate release of payment of his and other beneficiaries under MGNREGA.
In this connection, Koraput Vigilance P.S case No.06/23 U/s 7 P.C Amendment Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress, the Vigilance said.
Earlier, Dhoba was also involved in a DA case, it added.
