Phulbani: Vigilance sleuths on Tuesday caught record room in-charge of Collectorate, Phulbani, Kandhamal district red-handed for accepting bribe from a villager.
The anti-corruption officers arrested Ashok Kumar Patnaik for allegedly demanding and accepting illegal gratification of Rs 2,000 from one Lalit Kumar Sahu of Bilaspur village of Boudh district for providing his old land records.
The bribe money has been seized from Patnaik. The quarter of the accused is being searched on DA angle, informed Santanu Kumar Padhi, SP, Vigilance of Berhampur Division.
