Keonjhar: The Keonjhar district administration along with the Commerce and Transport Department has set up a “Motor Driving Training and Road Safety Institute” to improve the driving skills of existing heavy motor vehicle drivers and to create opportunities for youth to pursue career in heavy motor vehicle driving.

Built over an area of 21.35 acre, the institute has a training track of length 2km which includes facilities like H Shape, 8 shape, reversing box, parallel parking, and other facilities.
The institute has dedicated classrooms, simulator, and other national standard facilities. It also has hostel facility for around 200 trainees with gym, common room, and dining hall.
Apart from regular drive training courses, the institute will also offer refresher courses for enhancing skills and sensitising drivers on road safety rules and practices.
