Kerala Health Minister KK Sailaja Honoured By UN for Effective Covid-19 Management

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala’s model of fighting the Coronavirus which has been successful in flattening the curve, has received wide acclaims from none other than the United Nations. K K Shailaja, Helath Minister of Kerala, who presented the Kerala model at the webinar organised by the United Nations was appreciated. The webinar was organised as part of the United Nations Public Service Day 2020. The UN also honoured public servants who are engaged in the fight against Covid-19 as part of this programme.

The theme of the webinar was Pandemic and Public Service Delivery: Examining the critical role of public servants at local and national level. Along with K K Shailaja, representatives from Republic of Korea, New York State, International Council of Nurses, WHO and many other organizations participated.
