Bhubaneswar: The Bharatiya Janata Party MLA candidate from Khordha Assembly Constituency, Prashant Jagdev, has been arrested by the police for vandalizing EVM machine. According to sources, he allegedly barged into a polling booth in Kaunripatana Booth in Badakumari Panchayat of Bolagarh Block in Khurda district and vandalized the EVM machine. He is also said to have allegedly assaulted the presiding officer present at the polling booth. Prashant is also the present MLA from Chilika. According to media reports, Bhubaneswar MP candidate Aparajita Sarangi was also present near the polling booth at the time of the incident.
