KK Will Continue to Live in Hearts of Music Lovers through His Mellifluent Songs: Naveen

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has condoled the untimely demise of noted Bollywood singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK, who passed away on Tuesday night.

In a Twitter post, the Odisha CM said that KK will continue to live in the hearts of music lovers through his mellifluent songs.

“Saddened to learn about the untimely demise of noted Bollywood singer Krishnakumar Kunnath popularly known as KK. He will continue to live in the hearts of music lovers through his mellifluent songs. My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family members, friends & fans”, the CM tweeted.


KK passed away in Kolkata late on Tuesday night. He was 53. KK was in the city to perform at a function in Nazrul Manch organised by the Gurudas College.

As per reports, KK felt sick while he was performing. After returning to his hotel, the singer complained of uneasiness following which he was rushed to a hospital, where the doctors declared him brought dead.

Born on August 23, 1968, KK recorded songs in multiple languages including Hindi, Bengali, Assamese, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu, among others.
