Gajapati: The people of Gajapati District are all set to get the best experience of affordable and state of the art transport service under the LAccMI scheme. New buses under the LAccMI scheme will hit the road on Friday. The district administration is giving final touches to the preparations of the launch. The Government of Odisha will launch the bus service under the Location Accessible Multimodal Initiative (LAccMI) scheme in six districts of South Odisha in the first phase. CM Naveen Patnaik launched the service and flagged off the first fleet of buses in Malkangiri district recently.
The Government of Odisha will operate 1000 buses under the LAccMi scheme in the rural hinterlands across the state and has made provisioned a budget of Rs 3,178 crore for this. The buses will run from Panchayats to Block headquarters and from Block headquarters to district headquarters.
