LoP Naveen Urges State Govt to Take Strong Steps to Prevent Hooch Tragedy like Incident

Bhubaneswar: BJD President and Leader of Opposition (LoP) Naveen Patnaik on Thursday urged the State Government to take strong steps to prevent hooch tragedy like incident which has happened in Ganjam district.

Naveen expressed his grief over the death of two persons in the hooch tragedy in Chikiti area of Ganjam district. He also offered his condolences to the bereaved family members of the deceased.

The BJD President prayed for the speed recovery to those who are undergoing treatment at the hospital.


Earlier, the BJD has demanded a Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC) probe into the incident. The party has also formed a fact-finding team, which will visit Chikiti to review the situation and give a report to Naveen Patnaik.
