Bhubaneswar: A Low Pressure Area is likely to be formed over South Bay of Bengal next week. It is also likely to intensify into a depression but the chances of it intensifying into a cyclone will be known only after it becomes a Low, according to India Meteorological Department DG Mrutyunjaya Mohapatra. He also said that a clear picture will emerge only after 1st May. He said there is no need for panic as the IMD has not issued any forecast regarding any cyclone.
