Bhubaneswar: The Low Pressure area formed over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal is likely to intensify into a depression by 6th May. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, The low pressure will move northwestwards and intensify into a depression during next 48 hours.
It is also likely to take the shape of a cyclonic storm by 8th May evening and move further west-nothwestwards. Due to the impact of the cyclone, widespread rains in the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal and Bangladesh. It is very likely to continue to move northwestwards and reach Westcentral Bay of Bengal off north Andhra Odisha coasts by 10th May.
