Low Pressure to Trigger Rains in Coastal Districts in Next 24 Hours

Bhubaneswar: Rains will continue to lash most parts of Odisha, particularly coastal districts, during the next 24 hours by the impact of cyclonic circulation formed in the Bay of Bengal, said Meteorological Regional Centre here on Wednesday.

Incessant rains have sent normal life out of gear in many parts, particularly coastal areas, by disrupting road communication and keeping people indoor for the last two days.

Normal life has been severely hit in twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar. Meanwhile, the IMD has issued warning of heavy rains to districts of Khurda, Cuttack, Balasore, Puri and Ganjam.

All schools in Puri, Ganjam and Gajapati districts have remained closed for the day today as per the directions of concerned district administrations.
