Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MAV) government of the Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress alliance will face a floor test in the Assembly on Saturday.
The floor test will be conducted by NCP MLA Dilip Walse Patil, who was appointed as Pro-Tem Speaker of the Assembly on Friday replacing BJP MLA Kalidas Kolambkar
The new speaker will be appointed on Sunday, December 1.
The newly appointed Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray will have to prove its majority in a floor test, which will be held on the first day of the state assembly session today.
The newly elected Assembly will convene at 2 pm.
The session will begin with the formal announcement of the name of the Pro-Tem Speaker.
After the order of the Pro-Tem Speaker, the new ministers who took oath in the cabinet of the Uddhav Thackeray government will be introduced in the House, following which the trust vote will be taken up, according to reports.
