Bhubaneswar: The High Level Clearance Authority of Government of Odisha has approved three important investment proposals worth Rs 6923.26 Crore. The clearance was given at the 22nd meeting of the HLCA chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the Kharavela Bhawan. The three investment proposals have a potential to create 4638 jobs in the state.
The investments in the manufacturing sector will further strengthen the predominance of the state in the core sectors of steel, aluminum, thermal power. The HLCA approved the proposal of M/s. Thriveni Earthmovers Private Ltd., for setting up 30 MTPA Beneficiation plant in two phases at Deojhar in Kenonjar District with an investment of Rs. 1426.75 crore providing employment to about 884 people.
The Authority also approved the proposal of M/s Thriveni Earthmovers Private Ltd. for expansion of pellet plant capacity of 24 MTPA pellet plant in three phases, located at Bhitargarh, Paradip with additional investment of Rs. 3396.51 crores providing additional employment of 954 people.
The proposal of M/s Orissa Metaliks Private Limited for setting up of a 1.2 MTPA Integrated Steel Plant along with 225MW CPP in Keonjhar District with a total investment of Rs. 2100 crore providing employment of 2800 people was also approved by HLCA.
