The State of Odisha has made significant improvements in the health sector during the last one decade. Odisha has recorded a quantum leap with the highest points decline in IMR in the Country from 75 in 2005 to 36 in 2020 (Sample Registration System). Odisha has been ranked 1st among the States with 90.5 % in full immunization coverage as per National Family Health Survey (NFHS-5). Likewise, Odisha’s model (DAMaN) resulted in the sharpest decline 94% in Malaria cases in the country and has been acknowledged globally by World Health Organization (WHO).
