Malkangiri: With a view to help the people staying in houses due to lockdown and weekend shutdowns, the Malkangiri district administration has initiated Home Delivery services for medicines and grocery. The door delivery service will be initially available in the municipality limits. The administration has identified some local wholesalers and medicine retailers who will offer the door delivery services. Special helpline numbers have also been issued for availing the services.
The volunteers of ‘Team We Can and ‘Jai Malkangiri’ group are helping the administration to provide the door step services without any extra cost to the consumers. The administration has also opened a separate cell at Malkangiri Municipality regarding this with four mobile numbers to receive the order requests. The initiative will help minimize crowd in the streets and keep away the risk of exposure to Covid-19.
