Bhubaneswar: Many districts of Odisha received light to moderate rains yesterday night and early morning today bringing down temperatures. As many as nine districts and Capital city Bhubaneswar have received light rains and cloudy weather persisted. As per reports, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Nayagarh, Khurda, Puri, Angul, Dhenkanal and Keonjhar received moderate and light rains due the prevailing system over Chhattisgarh. Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh and Boudh districts will receive rain and thundershowers in the next 24 hours.
The IMD has issued yellow warning to 14 districts – Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Keonjhar, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Boudh, Angul, Cuttack and Dhenkanal for isolated thunderstorm or lightening. According to the IMD, the weather system will be like this till the 18th of this month.
