Martyrs’ Bodies Reach Homeland: State Pays Rich Tributes to Heroes

Bhubaneswar: The mortal remains of two jawans from Odisha, who were laid down their lives in the violent clash with Chinese army in Galwan Valley in Ladakh, reached Bhubaneswar on Thursday.

Odisha Governor Ganeshi Lal, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, senior officials of the Odisha government and armed forces personnel and police officials have paid their last tributes to the martyred jawans at the airport.

Earlier, a guard of honour was also given to the martyr jawans- Chandrakant Pradhan from Biarpanga village under Raikia block of Kandhamal district and Nanduram Soren from Rairangpur of Mayurbhanj district.
