Berhampur: The alleged mastermind in the murder of Aska Congress leader Manoj Jena was arrested on Saturday.
After weeks of search, a team of Baidyanathpur police finally arrested Bhagwan Sahu, the prime accused in the killing of Congress Aska MLA candidate Manoj Jena, from a rented house in Bhubaneswar, media reports stated.
Earlier on June 5, the police had issued a lookout circular against Sahu.
Five other accused persons were earlier arrested by the police from Balugaon and Koraput railway stations in connection with the murder.
The cops will appeal for a five-day remand for Sahu in the local court, sources said.
Notably, Jena was brutally murdered by a group of miscreants on May 22, a day before elections results, near Lanjipalli bypass while he was returning from Bhubaneswar to Aska via Berhampur in a SUV.
