Baripda: A pall of gloom descended in Mayurbhanj on the sad demise of Rajmata Bharati Rajya Lakshmi Bhanja Deo.
She was 94. Bharati Rajyalaxmi Bhanja Deo, daughter of Nepalese King Bir Bikram Shah, had married the erstwhile king of Mayurbhanj Pradeep Chandra Bhanja Deo in 1952. She passed away in her Belgadia palace.
She is the mother of senior BJP leader Praveen Chandra Bhanja Deo.
