Bhubaneswar: The Meteorological Department has warned that severe cold wave conditions will prevail in one or more places in 16 districts of Odisha in the next two days. A yellow warning has been issued by the met Department for Mayurbhanj, Angul, Jharsuguda, Bargarh and Sundargarh districts. According to a release issued by the department, cold wave condition will continue in interior Odisha till Wednesday under the influence of dry and cold northerly and north-westerly winds blowing towards the State.
While Malkangiri recorded the maximum temperature in the state at 30.5 degrees Celsius, Phsulbani with 4 degrees remained the coldest place in Odisha. Nine stations in Odisha recorded temperatures below 10 ten degrees in the last 24 hours., they are Angul 6.6°C, Jharsuguda 7.5°C, Bhawanipatna 7.8°C , Bolangir 8.8°C, Boudh 9.0°C, Keonjhar 9.3°C, Sonepur 9.4°C and Titilagarh 10.0°C.
