Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has issued specific instructions and guidelines for precautionary measures to be adhered to during MGNREGS work in the state during the lockdown for coronavirus outbreak.
“All field officials working under PD, DRDA, Executive Engineer, RWSS, BDO and GP level will attend their work normally in the field. The concerned head of office shall also ensure full strength in the office which shall provide necessary support to the field execution,” an official order said.
The concerned officials have been asked to adhere to following measures in the field in order to ensure social distancing and contain spread of COVID-19:
* No meetings shall be organised.
* Soap/hand wash and sufficient safe drinking water shall be made available for sanitization at the work site.
* Informal gatherings of workers at a worksite should be avoided.
* No sick person and persons above the age of 60 years shall be engaged in any work.
