New Delhi: The Union Home Ministry has asked the security forces to remain alert post Article 370 abrogation from Jammu and Kashmir.
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) directed all Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and central security agencies to take “necessary precautions” , news agency PTI reported.
The MHA urged the security agencies to take “necessary precautions” and step up protection of their campuses and movements by issuing specific advisories.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday moved a resolution in the Rajya Sabha to scrap Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, removing the special status granted to the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
The order, which has been signed by President Ram Nath Kovind, comes into force immediately.
