Bhubaneswar: After the successful implementation of Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana, the Odisha Government is all set to introduce the Air Health Service to provide high quality medical services to the people in the remote areas in the State.
Dubbed as Mukhyamantri Bayu Swasthya Seva, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will launch this service at the Biju Patnaik International Airport on Monday, scripting a milestone in the healthcare system of the State.
The Mukhyamantri Bayu Swasthya Seva will be highly helpful to the people in the remote areas in accessing health services at their doorsteps. Through this service, the medical team will reach near the patients by special helicopter and provide necessary treatment. Patients will also be airlifted if needed.
In the first phase, the Air Health Service will be introduced for Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, and Nuapada districts. It will be expanded in other districts later, according to sources.
