Mo Sarkar: Kalahandi Admin Goes Paperless with ‘e-Office’ Initiative amid COVID-19 Lockdown

Bhawanipatna: Inspired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s 5T mantra of governance, the Kalahandi district administration has launched a digital workplace solution in order to beat the challenges of COVID-19 lockdown.

With technology being an integral part of the 5T mantra, the district administration has tapped the latest digital technologies to introduce ‘eOffice’ initiative to transform itself from traditional to digital workplace.

“This is part of Odisha Government’s 5T agenda. It will help administration become more efficient and transparent”, said Kalahandi Collector Dr Parag Harshad Gavali.

The e-Office is an eco-friendly initiative as we will be going almost paperless, he stressed.
In view of COVID-19 pandemic, we expedited the whole process as eOffice does away with physical files, so the risk of infection transmission is drastically reduced, the Collector added.

In order to make the staffs familiarize with the new system, necessary training programme was conducted through video conference. Besides hands-on training was imparted in small batches with proper observance of social distance, wearing mask and preventive measures, he further said.
