Bhubaneswar: With the Revenue and Disaster Management department coming under the purview of ‘Mo Sarkar’ programme, now getting land documents including sale deeds in Odisha will be an easy task.
The land documents including sale deeds will be issued to people within one hour of registration at the sub-registrar offices across the State from April 1, the Odisha Government announced on Friday.
With the inclusion of Revenue Department under the 5T initiative from February 10, land and property-related transactions will be simplified and streamlined in order to ensure better delivery of services to the people, said Additional Chief Secretary in-charge of Revenue and Disaster Management department Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra.
The district and tehsil officials have been instructed to ensure that all documents which are e-registered at Sub-Registrar’s office will be delivered to the applicants within one hour of application from April 1, he said.
The district collectors, sub-collectors and other administrative officials have been asked to clear all pendency by February 5 so that the department can be brought under the purview of ‘Mo Sarkar’ initiative by February 10, the Revenue Secretary told media after discussion with the officials through video conference.
“We have decided to cancel the leaves of those Tehsils which have maximum pending files over the next week. The district officials have assured that all the pending cases under ORTPS will be cleared by February 5,” he said.
Apart from this, the State Government has also urged the district officials to clear the files of College land records at the earliest, which will be helpful in getting UGC grant and necessary accreditation.
