Jajpur: Chief Advisor to Odisha Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) R. Balakrishnan visited two government schools he adopted in the Jajpur district as part of the Mo School Abhiyan on Tuesday.
The soft-spoken former bureaucrat visited Jajpur Zilla School and Mahatab Government High School to chalk out strategies for the development of the schools.
He sought opinion from the teachers and students on a long-term plan for the renovation of the schools.
The Chief Advisor to CMO emphasized on the views of the students before commencing any project and stressed on holistic development of students.
He also discussed about the aims and objectives of Mo School programme with the teachers.
Responding to the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s appeal to adopt schools under Mo School programme, R. Balakrishnan adopted three schools including that of Biju Babu’s parental village school Dr Sadananda Tripathy Bidyapith of Belaguntha, Nuagaon, Ganjam.
The program aims to improve the overall academic and infrastructural aspects of government schools in the state with the help of interested individuals adopting them.
