Bhubaneswar: The Mo School Executive Committee has approved projects worth Rs 18.3 Crore at its 31st meeting yesterday. The EC meeting was held under the chairmanship of Satyabrata Sahu, Principal Secy, S&ME Dept on Thursday. Under the Mo School initiative, more than eleven thousand alumni have been connected to their alma mater in the last one month.
Since the Mo School Abhiyan has been started in the state, more than 6.27 lakh alumni have been connected with their alma mater who have extended their cooperation to the transformation of schools in the state. The Abhiyan has covered about 908 projects schools. The EC has decided to implement Social Audit in all the projects schools to ensure transparency and accountability. This multi-stakeholders level verification of the utilised funds will cultivate trust and credibility among the contributors.
The Mo School Abhiyan has set a target to cover 50 thousand schools by the year 2022. It was also decided in the meeting to take up a special alumni mobilization drive from January 26th to bring in maximum number of alumni into its fold.
