Mobbed by fans, actor Vikram takes auto rickshaw back home

Chennai: Actor Chiyaan Vikram, who was mobbed by thrilled fans and admirers who wanted to express their appreciation for his impactful performance in the just released action entertainer ‘Veera Dheera Sooran’, had no other option but to leave his luxury car behind at the theatre on Thursday night and get out of the venue in an auto rickshaw.

The incident occurred when Chiyaan Vikram chose to watch the film’s premiere show along with audiences on Thursday night.

Soon after the show, fans and audiences who had turned up to watch the film, which has now taken a fantastic opening with unanimously positive reviews pouring in from all centres, thronged around Vikram. The actor, who was surrounded by a sea of fans, couldn’t get to his car. His team, which managed to get him out, took him to an auto from where he left the venue.

The overwhelmingly positive response to the film has come as a shot in the arm to both Vikram and the team of Veera Dheera Sooran that had to battle legal issues to get the film released on Thursday.

Fans and the general audience were in for disappointment on Thursday as the film’s morning and noon shows were cancelled due to a court order that restrained the makers from releasing the film.

The court order was passed on a plea filed by the production company B4U over certain issues it had with the production house HR Pictures.

However, by Thursday evening, the producers, HR Pictures, resolved the issue and announced that theatrical screenings for the film had begun worldwide.

Vikram plays a simple common man, owning a grocery store while S J Suryah plays a senior police officer in the film,

Interestingly, ‘Veera Dheera Sooran’, which has an ensemble star cast including Chiyaan Vikram, S.J. Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Dushara Vijayan, has had its second part releasing first.

While the film has cinematography by Theni Eswar, it has music by G V Prakash Kumar. Editing has been taken care of by G.K. Prasanna. Art direction for the film is by C.S. Balachandar. Riya Shibu of HR Pictures is producing this film, which is an edge-of-seat action thriller.
