Angul: A mobile app has been launched to avert the human-elephant conflict in Odisha’s Angul district.
The app ‘Angul Bana Sathi’ introduced by the Angul forest department will prevent human-animal confrontation in the areas by enabling people to get real-time information about the movement of the jumbos.
The app will help residents of the district to stay connected with the forest division officials.
Through this app, the resident can pass information about other wild animals as well as illegal activities going on in forests, directly by dialing toll free number -18003155555.
The app can be downloaded from Google Play Store free of cost. It is functional in Angul, Banarpal, Talcher, Kaniha, Chendipada blocks of the district.
