Bhubaneswar: The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), the Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) and Fire Services and Civil Defence Department of the State Government held a joint exercise at Esplanade Mall here to prepare it in case of any terror attack.
The half-an-hour drill caught shoppers and public by surprise.
The NDRF, ODRAF and Fire personnel with metal detectors and special suits diffused a bomb in a controlled environment and carried out injured during the operation.
The objective of the operation was to have better coordination during any eventuality and also to keep the force ready for any untoward incident.
The public was also made aware on how to keep themselves on a high state of preparedness in case of a terror attack.
A similar mock drill was conducted on March 28 in the mall.
