Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today conducted an aerial survey accompanied by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to assess the loss and destruction caused by Cyclone Fani in Odisha.
Modi, who arrived here this morning to take a stock of the situation in the affected areas of the city and adjoining Puri, was received by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Governor Ganeshi Lal, Chief Secretary AP Padhi, and DGP Dr RP Sharma on his arrival at the Biju Patnaik International Airport here.
Accompanied by the Chief Minister, Modi proceeded towards his chopper to carry out the survey of the worst-hit Puri district and other affected areas.
The Prime Minister took stock of the situation and marked the affected areas in his map.
On Saturday, Modi also spoke to the Chief Minister and discussed the situation in the aftermath of Fani, assuring continuous support from the Centre.
