Modi Inaugurates India’s First-ever Driverless Train Operations on Delhi Metro’s Magenta Line

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the country’s first driverless train operations on the Delhi Metro’s Magenta Line via video conferencing.

Speaking on the occasion, Modi said, “The inauguration of the first driverless metro train shows how fast India is moving towards smart systems.”

The new train operations will connect Janakpuri West and Botanical Garden along with the fully operational National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) services on the Airport Express Line.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal attended the virtual event.
