Bhubaneswar: With the 4th Session of the 16th Odisha Assembly set to commence from the 29th of this month, all the staff members and media persons who shall be covering the proceedings are being tested for Covid-19. The decision to test the staff and media persons was taken in yesterday’s all party meeting called by the Speaker Surya Narayana Patro. In total about nine hundred persons will be tested for the deadly virus.
The tastings are being carried our BMC and Assembly staff. Long queues were seen today inside the assembly premises for testing. The tests will continue till September 28th.
According to a notice issued by the Security Officer of the Odisha Legislative Assembly, a minimum number of Print and electronic media members will be allowed to attend the assembly for coverage of the daily proceedings. All the media persons have to undergo Covid-19 test.
