Bhubaneswar: The Government of Odisha will appoint more than 5000 doctors in the state in the coming days. Health Minister Niranjan Pujari has told this in the State Assembly while replying on the questions related to the Health Department by the members.
Speaking on the issue of availability of beds in the state run hospitals, Niranjan Pujari said that whenever there is rise in the number of patients, the number of beds is being increased accordingly and nobody is being left without beds. The number of beds has been increased from 17,130 to 25,650 from 2017-18 to 2022-23 in the government hospitals. There is a plan to add 21, 342 additional beds in the next financial year.
