Bhubaneswar: The controversy surrounding misogynist poster of Papu Pom Pom’s upcoming movie ‘Mr Kanheiya’ seems to find no ending soon as notice has been served to the film producer Sitaram Agarwal.
According to report, the accused producer has been served notice by Bhubaneswar Mahila police regarding the misogynist poster.
Actor Papu Pom Pom alias Tattwa Prakash Satapathy was also issued a notice.
They have been asked to depose within seven days.
The film has been scheduled to release this Ganesh Puja.
In the controversial poster, Papu is seen holding multiple strings on one hand while the other ends of those strings are connected to seven girls.
Ever since the poster has surfaced on social media, it has been receiving widespread backlash and criticism from different quarters.
Earlier, a complaint has also been filed against the actor and the production house by woman activist Linkan Subudhi.
