Bhubaneswar: The registrations for the Nabin Odisha Magic Card introduced by the Government of Odisha for students will begin from today. According to sources, the distribution of the cards will start from 15th August this year. A dedicated special portal will be launched today for the students to register for the smart card. The Smart Card will be upgraded based on the performance of the students. They can be upgraded to Silver, Gold and Platinum levels.
As announced by the 5T Chairman, students who have the Smart Cards will get discounts while traveling in buses, trains, airports. Besides, it will help them in various academic areas like availing free wifi, online course content, phone, data recharge, access to e-library, skill development courses, coaching. Career counseling, language courses, volunteering etc. The students’ academic performance, discipline, participation in extra-curricular activities, social work, etc will get recorded in the Smart Cards thereby increasing the benefits to the students.
