Bhubaneswar: A tourist guide of Nandankanan was injured today when he was attacked by a bear in the Bear safari of the Zoo. The Guide, Tutu Behera was feeding some food stuffs to the bear in bear safari from the back seat of the safari bus. He has been shifted to a private hospital.
The Zoo officials have called the safari service provider for a meeting tomorrow and emphasize the DOs & DON’T to visitors. The particular guide will be warned in writing. Feeding animals inside the zoological park is not allowed for visitors and unauthorized persons.
