Chatrapur: Bringing laurels to the State, Ganjam district has won as many as six National Panchayat Awards 2023 announced by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj.
Ganjam has bagged the Best District Panchayat Award and Hinjilicut has won the Best Block Panchayat Award in the country.
Among all 6612 blocks of the country, Hinjilicut Block of Ganjam district has got the top position.
Ganjam district has also bagged the awards in other categories, such as Healthy Panchayat, Socially Secured Panchayat, Clean and Green Panchayat, Gram Urja Swaraj Vishesh Panchayat Puraskar.
While, Kanchuru GP of Hinjilicut Block has bagged the Second Best Award in the category of Health Panchayat, Kulada GP of Bhanjanagar Block has won the Second Best Award in Socially Secured Panchayat.
Similarly, Sasan Ambagam GP of Hinjilicut Block has bagged Second Best Clean and Green Panchayat Award in India. Ankuli GP of Patrapur Block clinched the Second Best Gram Urja Swaraj Vishesh Panchayat Puraskar.
Ganjam Collector Dibya Jyoti Parida has congratulated the Team Ganjam for winning various accolades in National Panchayat Awards-2023.
He also conveyed his best wishes to all winning Gram Panchayats, Hinjilicut Panchayat Samiti and Zilla Parishad, Ganjam.
It is worth mentioning that Ganjam district continues to win awards at the national level due to the people-centric development programmes and transformative initiatives of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
