Naveen Announces Abolition of Solvency Certificate; Other Certificates To Be Available Online

Bhubaneswar: In a major relief to common citizens of the state, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced the abolition of solvency certificate in the state. As part of the transformation process of the governance mechanism that is going under 5T Initiative, there will be no more requirement of the solvency certificate.

Along with this, Naveen also declared that important documents and certificates like income certificate, residence certificate and all other miscellaneous certificates will be available online. This has been initiated in order to bring in more transparency and ease of governance. Also, the government has done away with any fees for issue of these certificates. Theses will be issued on the basis of self-certification.

In another important decision, the government has decided to do away with the Legal Heir certificate in case of death of government servants, and from now no legal heir certificate is necessary to get government dues.
