Kendrapara: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday announced a package for the relief and restoration work in the cyclone Fani-ravaged Kendrapara District.
After reviewing the post-cyclone situation in the district, Naveen said that as many as 30 cyclone shelters at the rate of Rs 2 crore each will be constructed in vulnerable locations.
For repair of damage caused to school buildings, Anganwadi centres and public utility assets owned by the panchayats, an assistance of Rs 2 lakh per structure will be provided, the CM said.
Naveen said, “I have directed the district administration to immediately take steps for implementing the livelihood package for self-help groups, farmers and fishermen”.
The Chief Minister also assured that not a single eligible person will be left out and wherever there are gaps in embankments, that would be strengthened.
