Naveen Asks BJD MLAs to Take Leadership in Spreading Awareness on Covid Precautions and Organize Blood Donations

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal President Naveen Patnaik today urged the BJD MLAs to take leadership in spreading awareness on COVID-19 precautions and organize blood donation camps.

Interacting with the party MLAs through video conferencing, Naveen asked the leaders to intensify the BJD’s Jiban Bindu programme to meet blood shortage amid the COVID-19 pandemic situation.

He urged the legislators to involve the party workers in the corona-related programmes as volunteers.

“Create awareness among the people about the use of face masks and importance of social distancing”, the BJD supremo told the MLAs.

He also directed the party legislators to take care of elders in their respective areas as they are more vulnerable to the coronavirus.

He also asked them to focus on the livelihood and skill development programmes for the betterment of the people.

The CM advised them to use technology to stay connected with the people instead of gathering them in one place.

The BJD supremo said that the human race is going through an unprecedented crisis due to the outbreak of coronavirus.

He said, “With the blessings of Lord Jagannath, cooperation of the people and their representatives and dedicated efforts of the officials, Odisha has been able to better manage the pandemic situation in compared to other States. The corona mortality rate in Odisha is the lowest in the country”.

“Yet we have to long way to go and now the fight against the COVID-19 has reached its vital stage”, the BJD supremo said.
