Kabisuryanagar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today gave a clarion call to make Ganjam the greatest district of the country.
Attending a public meeting at Kabisuryanagar on his visit to Ganjam district today, Naveen said that he is very happy to be there in Ganjam. He said that Ganjam is the land of Art and Culture. This is the land of freedom fighters. He paid his tributes to Kabi Samrat Upendra Bhanja and Kabisurjya Baladeba Ratha. He said that he is very happy to launch various developmental projects worth Rs 2000 crore.
During his visit to Kabisuryanagar, Naveen inaugurated various projects worth Rs 316 crore and distributed pattas to 11,000 landless people. In total, more than 20,000 poor people will be given pattas.
Praising the women Self Help Group members, Naveen said, our mothers are doing a great work. I want the mothers to become entrepreneurs. The Government of Odisha will provide all helo and facilities for this. They are being given interest free loans of Rs 5 Lakhs. The government has made provisions for giving Rs 50000 crore to the SHGs. The Chief Minister also released loans worth Rs 280 crore for the Women SGHs of Kabisuryanagar. He said, with the development of the mothers, the country will develop.
Naveen said, “Our farmers are being given loans. He said the Biju Swasthya Kalyana Yojana and the 5T School, transformation programs are two milestones in the Health and Education field. More than fifty thousand people of Ganjam have been benefitted with the Biju Swasthya Kalyana Yojana. In Ganjam, out of the 630 High Schools, 471 High Schools have been transformed under the 5T Initiatives. By December, all the schools of Ganjam district will be transformed”.
“I am always working for you and will continue to do so, Naveen said. He also called for everyone to come together and work for making Ganjam the nation’s number one district”, the CM added.
