Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is closely monitoring the Covid Situation in the state and has been taking stock of the developments regularly. He has directed the authorities and local administration to arrange supply of essential supplies to the containment areas and ensure safty of frontline health workers doing house to house surveys.
In a major development, the state health department has informed that Bhubaneswar has 30 active cases of Covid-19 positive cases and most of the cases are linked to the two cases found in Suryanagar and Bomikhal. All the cases of Bomikhal are from a single family. As both the areas have been sealed and declared containment areas by the administration and are under active surveillance, there is less chances of spread of the virus from these areas. It as requested people not to panic.
Meranwhile, the specially put up KIMS Covid- Hospital has been operationalised and 14 patients have been admitted in it. The 100 bedded Rourkela Hi-tech Covid-19 Hospital has also been activated by the administration.
