Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal supremo and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday congratulated Y S Jaganmohan Reddy on being sworn in as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
Naveen, who took oath as Chief Minister of Odisha for the record fifth consecutive term on Wednesday, conveyed his best wishes to Jaganmohan Reddy and hoped that Andhra Pradesh will develop further and benefit people more under his leadership.
Jagan Reddy, who steered his YSR Congress Party to a massive victory in the assembly elections, was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor E S L Narasimhan in a grand ceremony.
The YSR Congress won 151 of the 175 seats in the state assembly dethroning the N Chandrababu Naidu-led Telugu Desam Party from power.
