Naveen Congratulates MKCG Team for Collecting over 100 Units of Plasma

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today congratulated the Plasma Therapy team of MKCG Medical College & Hospital, Berhampur for collecting more than 100 units of plasma.

The plasma bank of MKCG MCH has collected over 100 units of plasma in less than a month for the treatment of serious COVID-19 patients in the district.

The plasma bank, which was inaugurated by the Chief Minister on August 5, has collected as many as 102 units of plasma as on August 28.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has expressed his happiness over the achievement and appreciated the entire team for ensuring that people of have access to this advanced medical treatment in the region

The Ganjam administration has so far identified 492 donors, who have voluntarily agreed to give plasma to further streamline the convalescent plasma therapy, which has been showing good results in treating critical patients.

As many as 20 patients have successfully won the battle against coronavirus with convalescent plasma therapy in the district. So far, 97 patients have been administrated the therapy.
