Balangir: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today launched the distribution of smart health cards under the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) in Balangir district.
During his visit to the district, the Chief Minister also inaugurated a slew of development projects for the people of Balangir.
The Chief Minister visited Titlagarh, Patnagarh and Balangir towns and distributed the BSKY smart health cards.
More than 4.5 lakhs people in the district will get the benefits from the BSKY health card smarts.
The BSKY Smart card will entitle the beneficiaries’ free treatment at all government hospitals of the state and more than 200 private hospitals of the state and outside. Each family can avail treatment benefits up to Rs 5 lakh per annum under the scheme and in case of women family members, the limit is Rs 10 lakh.
The Chief Minister also laid foundation stones and inaugurated a slew of development projects worth Rs 800 crore for Balangir district.
