Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government led by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, focuses both life and livelihood in its fight against Coronavirus.
As livelihood plays important role, the State Government has decided to accelerate development activities in sectors like road, bridge, agriculture, health to create more livelihood and employment opportunities, said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on the sideline of inaugurating a high level bridge constructed on Hazipur Sankhari Sahi Road over Biluakhai river in Jagatsinghpur.
The newly constructed 1187 metre bridge will reduce distance between the district headquarter and Bhubaneswar, connect NH-55 with Baishimouza village in Cuttack district to all weather road.
Rs. 61.42 crore has been spent for the construction of bridge and promote the connectivity.
The CM also laid foundation stone through video conferencing to set up a maternal and child health hospital at Jagatsinghpur.
This health institution shall have an important role in health services, Naveen said.
“Rs. 16.28 Crore shall be spent for the hospital with 100 beds while Rs. 2.29 crore shall be spent to have 10 bedded ICU facility at the DHH, Jagatsinghpur, a release said.
