Naveen Graces Final Match of SAFF U-20 Championship as Chief Guest

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has graced the final match of SAFF U20 Championship between India and Bangladesh at the iconic Kalinga Stadium here on Friday as chief guest and wished both the teams good luck before the starting of the match.

The Chief Minister, who is known to be a sports enthusiast, enjoyed the engulfing final match between India and Bangladesh after meeting the two teams during the line-up.

The CM was accompanied by Sports Secretary R. Vineel Krishna.

India defeated Bangladesh 5-2 to clinch the SAFF U20 Championship title.

Gurkirat Singh spearheaded the Indian attack with four goals in the match and finished as the tournament’s top scorer with eight goals.

Apart from Gurkirat’s goalfest, Himangshu Jangra also found the net. MD. Rajon Howladar and Shahin Mia were the two scorers for Bangladesh.
